Vice President Noli De Castro (center) meets with overseas Filipino workers in Kuwait on their working conditions and welfare along with Special Envoy to the Gulf Cooperation Council Amable R. Aguiluz (behind him). The two brought the good news to them regarding the amnesty extended by the Kuwaiti government to 14 imprisoned OFW’s. Ambassador Aguiluz was tapped by the President to help the Philippine delegation in efforts to save Marilou Ranario’s life, a Filipina domestic helper sentenced to death by hanging for killing her employer. The delegation included Chief Prosecutor Jovencio Zuno and VP De Castro chief of staff Atty. Jesse San Andres.
