The Prime Minister cuts the ribbon to officially open the new multi-million dinar AMA University campus, in Salmabad, yesterday. The new campus can accommodate up to 10,000 students and features seven food outlets, a basketball court, football pitch and state-of-the art facilities. Ambassador Amable R. Aguiluz V, President Arroyos’s Special Envoy to the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Member States, called on the Emir of Qatar, HH Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa al-Thani, discussed matters pertaining to bilateral relations, extended the President’s gratitude for Qatar’s support to Senator Miriam Defensor Santiago in his candidature to the International Court of Justice and handed over the President’s letter of invitation to the Emir. The Emir has accepted the President’s invitation to conduct State Visit to the Philippines in January next year. 10/30/08
