Aguiluz negotiates for lifting of ban in Oman.
President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo’s Special envoy to the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), Ambassador Amable R. Aguiluz V (left), met recently with Oman’s Foreign Ministry Undrsecretary, His Excellency Sayyid Badr bin Hamad bin Hamoud (right), to negotiate the lifting of the ban on the entry of overseas Filipino workers to Oman. Aguiluz is optimistic that the government of Oman will soon resume the issuance of visas to Filipinos who would like to work in Oman .

Special Envoy to the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), Ambassador Amable R, Aguiluz V, presented President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo’s personal letter to Oman ’s His majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said represented by His Royal Highness Assad bin Tariq Al Said. Ambassador Aguiluz recently visited Oman to negotiate the lifting of the ban on the entry of overseas Filipino workers to Oman . He is optimistic that the government of Oman will soon resume issuance of visas to Filipinos who would like to work in Oman . With Ambassador Aguiluz during the courtesy call were Atty. Aguiluz V (left), met recently with Oman’s Minister of manpower, His Excellency Juma bin Ali bin Juma (right), to negotiate lifting of the ban on the entry of overseas Filipino workers to Oman. The Minister assured Aguiluz that although there is an ongoing Omanization throughout the country, they are still welcoming Filipinos to work in Oman . Special envoy meet OFWs in Oman
Special Envoy to the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), Ambassador Amable R. Aguiluz V, spoke before the overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) during his recent visit to the Sultanate of Oman. Ambassador Aguiluz reported on the ongoing negotiation on lifting the ban on the entry of overseas Filipino workers to Oman . He is optimistic that the government of Oman will soon resume issuance of visas to Filipinos who would like to work there. The Ambassador also mentioned the accomplishments of the Arroyo administration, especially on OFW related matters.
